About Us
Concerned Africans Youth Forum (CAYF) is a Continental African Youth Leadership forum for young Africans concerned about the development challenges facing the African continent. CAYF was initially established on the 1st of October 2008 as an outreach organization, and the Forum brings together leading figures from across the continent and beyond to determine how best to engage Africa’s most valuable resource – its Youth.
CAYF has over 5 (five) thousand members from all over the Sub-regions in Africa who are mainly Youth. We also have representatives in 47 Member states of the African Union.
Realizing the importance of tapping the potential of the African youth, the need to create supportive platforms to challenge their creativity, and making available to the youth critical information and resources needed for their total development.
Legal Status: CAYF is established and registered under the Registrar General’s Department of the Republic of Ghana as a Civil Society/nongovernmental and non-profit organization. Tax Identification (TIN) Number: P0003122409.
CAYF has partnered with numerous prestigious Organizations and International Youth organizations across the continent. E.g, Thabo Mbeki Foundation’s African Youth Coalition/Pan African Youth Union, Pan African Youth Dialogue, Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation, Global Alternative Agenda and etc. CAYF obtained a Delegate Status at the 22nd session of the African Union Heads of State and Government Plenary session, Dialogue with Heads of State in Addis-Ababa, Ethiopia January 2014.
